Text first, not a copy of the layout
This converter concentrates on getting the words right: paragraphs joined up, headings marked as headings, two-column pages read in order, and a page break wherever the PDF had one. It opens in Word, Pages, Google Docs and LibreOffice.
It does not recreate the exact look of the page. Pictures are left out, fonts become the standard document font, and complex tables and layouts may not match. For those documents, saving pages as pictures may serve you better.
Private documents stay private
Converting a PDF to Word is often the first step in updating a contract, a CV or a letter. Here the conversion happens inside your browser, and the page locks itself before your document is opened.
