These terms apply when you use FilePresto or buy a Day Pass. Last updated 21st September 2026.

Who we are

The service

FilePresto provides tools that convert, compress and rearrange files inside your web browser. Your files are processed on your own device and are not sent to us. The tools are free for single files and for batches of up to 5 files at a time.

The Day Pass

A Day Pass removes FilePresto's 5-file batch limit on every tool for 24 hours from successful payment. Your browser and device may still limit exceptionally large batches. It is a single payment and does not renew. It is stored in your browser, and the pass code shown after payment lets you use it on other devices of your own during the same 24 hours. It is for your own use; please do not share or publish the pass code.

Payment is processed through Stripe Managed Payments. Onelink (Sold through Link, LLC) is the merchant of record for the transaction and sends your receipt. FilePresto remains responsible for the Day Pass and the FilePresto tools. Stripe's own terms, shown at checkout, apply to the payment itself. After you buy, we send you an email confirming your purchase, with these terms and our refund and cancellation information.

Your files

Because your files never leave your device, we never hold a copy of them. Keep your originals until you have checked the results. Some files cannot be processed, for example password-protected PDFs, or formats your browser cannot read; each tool explains its limits.

Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. Where the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies, digital content must meet the standards required by law, including being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose where applicable, and services must be provided with reasonable care and skill. Our 14-day refund promise is in addition to those rights.

Our responsibility

We take reasonable care to make FilePresto work properly, but browser, device and file-format limitations mean that not every file can be processed successfully. We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaching these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Fair use

Please do not try to get around the batch limit other than by buying a pass, interfere with the site, or use it to process material you have no right to use.

Changes

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. The version in force when you bought a pass applies to that pass.

Law

These terms are governed by Scots law. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in your own part of the United Kingdom, and you keep the protection of its mandatory consumer law.
