Add page numbers to a PDF
Number every page of a PDF. Choose where the numbers go, how they look and which number to start from, and leave a cover page blank if you want.
How to use it
- Choose your PDF, or drag it onto the box.
- Choose the position, style and first number.
- Press Add page numbers and download the numbered copy.
Styles you can choose
Plain numbers (1, 2, 3), Page 1, Page 1 of 12, or 1 / 12. You can start from any number, which helps when a document continues from another, and you can leave the first page without a number so a cover page stays clean.
Bundles and appendices
Numbered pages make long documents easier to refer to, whether it is a report, a set of exhibits or a pack of papers for a meeting. To number several documents as one, merge them first.
Questions
Will this change anything else in my PDF?
No. The numbers are added on top of each page; nothing else is altered.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The work happens inside your web browser, on your own device. Before your file is opened, this page locks itself: from then on your browser refuses to let it fetch, upload or send anything at all.
