WebP to JPG
Pictures saved from websites often arrive as WebP files, which some older programs and upload forms will not accept. Turn them into JPGs here, without uploading anything.
How to use it
- Choose your WebP files, or drag them onto the box.
- Each one is converted on your device.
- Download them individually or together as a ZIP file.
What is WebP?
WebP is an image format created by Google to make web pages load faster. It produces smaller files than JPG or PNG and every current web browser can show it, which is why so many websites now use it.
Outside the browser, support is less complete. Some photo editors, office software and upload forms still do not accept it, and that is usually why people want a JPG instead.
Transparency and animation
WebP images can have see-through areas; these become white in the JPG. Animated WebP images convert to a single still picture of the first frame.
Questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. The work happens inside your web browser, on your own device. You can check: once this page has loaded, switch off your internet connection and it will still work. The page also tells your browser to refuse to load anything from, or send anything to, any other website, so nothing can be sent elsewhere even by accident.
