Opus to MP3
Voice notes from WhatsApp, Telegram and other apps are often Opus files, which many computers, cars and players will not play. Turn them into MP3s here, on your own device, so your messages are never uploaded.
How to use it
- Choose the MP3 quality. 128 kbps is plenty for speech.

What is an Opus file?
Opus is a modern sound format that keeps speech clear in very small files, which is why messaging apps use it. The files usually end in .opus or .ogg. MP3 is older and larger, but almost everything plays it.
If a file will not open
Reading Opus depends on your browser. Current versions of Chrome, Edge and Firefox read it. If you see an error in another browser, try one of those.
