HEIC to PNG
iPhones save photographs as HEIC files, which many computers and websites will not open. Turn them into PNGs here, keeping every pixel of the photo exactly, as many as you like at once, without sending your photos anywhere.

PNG or JPG?
A PNG keeps every pixel of the photo exactly as it was decoded, so nothing more is lost, which suits photos you will edit further, or screenshots and pictures with text. The price is size: a PNG of a photograph is often five to ten times larger than a JPG. For photos you only want to share or upload, HEIC to JPG gives much smaller files.
Location and other hidden details
iPhone photographs usually record where they were taken. The PNGs made here do not carry those hidden details across, which is worth knowing if you are sharing pictures publicly.
How it works
HEIC photos are opened by a converter built into this page, which is downloaded before your first photo is opened, and saved as PNG by your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Can I convert Live Photos?
The still photograph converts. The moving part of a Live Photo is stored separately and is not included.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The work happens inside your web browser, on your own device. Before your file is opened, this page locks itself: from then on your browser refuses to let it fetch, upload or send anything at all.
