FLAC to WAV
Turn FLAC files into WAV for editing software, DJ equipment and players that do not read FLAC. Both formats are lossless, so the WAV holds exactly the same sound as the FLAC. It all happens on your own device.
How to use it
- Choose your FLAC files, or drag a whole album onto the box.
- Each one is converted to WAV on your device.
- Download each WAV, or all of them together as a ZIP file.
Nothing is lost
FLAC and WAV are both lossless. The WAV made here keeps the original sample rate, for example 44.1, 48 or 96 kHz, and the original bit depth: 16-bit files stay 16-bit and 24-bit files stay 24-bit. Played back, the sound is identical, sample for sample.
Expect larger files
FLAC compresses sound without losing anything, a little like a ZIP file. WAV does not compress at all, so the WAV will be roughly twice the size of the FLAC. Surround-sound FLAC files are mixed down to stereo in the WAV.

Are my files uploaded?
No. The work happens inside your web browser, on your own device. Before your file is opened, this page locks itself: from then on your browser refuses to let it fetch, upload or send anything at all.
