Convert multiple Word documents to PDF
Choose a whole set of Word documents and get a PDF of each one, downloaded together as a single ZIP file. The conversion runs on your own device, so none of the documents is uploaded.
How to use it
- Choose all the Word documents you want to convert, or drag the whole selection onto the box.
- The first time, the converter downloads (about 78 MB). After that it starts straight away.
- Each document becomes its own PDF. Download them one by one, or all together as a ZIP file.
Batch convert Word to PDF
This is the same converter as the Word to PDF tool, set up for doing many documents in one go. FilePresto converts each document separately and aims to preserve its headings, lists, tables, pictures, page numbers, headers and footers.
Up to 5 documents per batch are free, as often as you like. For bigger batches, a Day Pass removes FilePresto's 5-file batch limit for 24 hours, so you can process the whole set in one run.
Example: a folder of letters
Say you have 30 letters in Word that need to go out as PDFs. Select all 30 in the file chooser (click the first, then hold Shift and click the last). The first 5 are free; with a Day Pass all 30 are converted one after another, and Download all as ZIP gives you the 30 PDFs in one file, each named after its Word document.
Questions
How many documents can I convert at once?
Up to 5 at a time for free. With a Day Pass there is no FilePresto batch limit; very large batches are limited only by your device's memory and take a little longer, because each document is converted in turn on your own computer.
Do I get one PDF per document, or one combined PDF?
One PDF for each Word document. If you want them in a single PDF afterwards, put the PDFs through Merge PDF.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The work happens inside your web browser, on your own device. Before your file is opened, this page locks itself: from then on your browser refuses to let it fetch, upload or send anything at all. You can check: once the page has loaded, switch off your internet connection and it will still work. How the lock works.
